Imma Miralpeix is currently a lecturer and researcher at the University of Barcelona, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English linguistics and second language acquisition. Her main research interests are second language vocabulary acquisition, especially lexical development and assessment, and multilingualism.
As a member of the GRAL Group, coordinated by Prof. Carme Muñoz, she has taken part in several funded projects, such as the BAF (Barcelona Age Factor) Project on the role of age in foreign language learning. She has also conducted research in Swansea University with the Vocabulary Acquisition Research Group led by Prof. Paul M. Meara.
